Seven Deadly Sins

In late 2014, I was selected to contribute two scenes to Victorian Opera’s Seven Deadly Sins project, for performance on 6 November 2015. A companion piece to the Brecht/Weill piece of the same name, to be performed by Meow Meow, the two scenes carried the double theme of a sin and an Australian capital city (akin to the German original which is set in the United States). I was assigned Brisbane/Sloth and Sydney/Lust. The other composers were Julian Langdon, Mark Viggiani and Jessica Wells.
