I am available for contract work, with experience in grant writing and administration, strategic planning, educational design and internal/external program consultation.

I have worked with artistic organisations and individuals to help in the often challenging process of articulating a key purpose- why are we here? why do we do what we do? and who would miss us if we weren’t here doing it?- and doing so in clear language that doesn’t rely on needless buzzwords. I am able to align this vision and purpose with the priorities of funders in grant applications, and be a collaborative and constructive partner in drafting, editing and proofing grant materials.

Additionally, I have experience working in large educational institutions to collaborate and aid development of complex education programs focused on interdisciplinary learning and graduate development.

Ian is a thoughtful and strategic thinker who is able to identify both the uniqueness of a cultural offering but also contextualise it within the broader landscape. He brings insight into strategy around funding and planning, and highly developed abilities in editing, researching and writing grant applications and other strategic documents.
